Of a beautiful garnet, limpid and bright as a great Nebbiolo, the nose reveals a wide range of evolved fruity hints: red plum in syrup, blackberries in jam, cassis. The spicy texture is evident, tending to be sweet and caressing, and acts as a counterpoint to the pungency of cocoa, tobacco and coffee. The sip is a show of perfect balance, in which the heat is combined with the tannin, the softness with the flavor. The persistence, infinite, plays on the confectioned and toasted textures that the nose had clearly anticipated.
