Marina Alta is an excellent white wine from Alicante, dry but very smooth and fruity. It is made from a special grape variety, Moscatel de Alejandría, whose selection, degree of ripeness and carefully controlled fermentation allow its freshness, aroma and flavour to be preserved as in a succulent delicacy and, when enjoyed, to leave an unforgettable memory on the palate.
Its colour is pale, straw-coloured and crystalline. Its aroma is fruity, with deep notes of fresh Muscat with hints of Alsace. White flowers and fresh fruit perfume an intense, fine and elegant nose. In the mouth it is ample and very fruity with notes of aniseed and fennel and a great combination of acidity and sugar. It is a unique, very particular, balanced and rounded wine that has already accumulated many prizes and awards, both national and international.
Marina Alta is a wine known by everyone in the Valencian Community that is usually drunk with seafood, fish and rice dishes, but also as an aperitif. In fact, due to its lightness and friendliness, it is a perfect wine for any moment and any time.

We first drank this wine with good friends at a restaurant near Denia in 2005. We still remember the aromas of white peaches on the nose and the wonderfully refreshing peach flavours. The 2018 version which I drank last night is just as good. All those flavours are still there, but the 2018 version has a added sharpness which makes the wine even more interesting. All this for less than €6. Such value. Our meal last night was baked Sea Bream stuffed with peas and beans to which this wine was an ideal accompaniment.

Absolutely delighted to find a reliable stockist for one of our favourite wines.O.K. it's not the most expensive wine out there however it does have a knack of growing on you very quickly,its one of those wines that has a distinctive mellow taste that compliments any summer time meal. The ultimate summer wine
A delicious and very dangerous white wine. It's very pleasant with delicate minerals, a very nice bouquet and a ever so slight hint of sweetness in the end that makes you want to have more. It's by no means a sweet wine though. Serve cold and enjoy, be sure to have a second bottle at hand.
