The wine
Majestic, spirited, complex.
An impenetrable, dark ruby-red colour. A rich, intense nose with aromas of preserves, plum, cherry, tiny sun-ripened black berries, rhubarb, dried fruits and vanilla. A warm, rounded and balanced Amarone, with silky tannins, and a fruity finish highlighting cocoa and coffee notes.
A wine which proves a very good accompaniment to top quality meats, including venison and reindeer, plus full-flavoured or slightly spicy cheeses. Ideal too for desserts and as an after lunch or dinner drink.
