The wine
Pagos de Matanegra is a small winery that emerged from the shared interest of three friends passionate about wine. They own 20 ha of old vineyards from which they have successfully produced fantastic, low-production wines, such as this Crianza, aged for 14 months in French oak barrels used for two wines.
An intense garnet-cherry colour with violet hues on the rim, the wine shows complexity and elegance on the nose. It displays a combination of ripe black fruit aromas, with touches of prune-plum jam and fruit compote. Elegant, meaty and balanced on the palate, it has great persistence.
Malolactic fermentation in oak. Ageing in French oak barrels for between 14 and 18 months.
