The wine

Post Crucifixión is a wine of exceptional delicacy, purity and, at the same time, energy. Complexity abounds all over, picking up the richness of the different varietals involved in its composition, various red and white grapes, which have been grown together quite naturally in a pre-phylloxera vineyard, planted on a limestone soil, and therefore making it even more extraordinary. Extremely elegant and mineral.

The wine is named after a song by Luis Alberto Spinetta, one of the most influential and respected musicians of Argentina.

Wine critics reviewsReviews by Parker and Jancis Robinson

The 2020 Post-Crucifixión is quite different from the 2021 that I tasted side by side with this. There's 1.3% higher alcohol here (it's 13.2%), which is noticeable. It has an incredibly perfumed nose that is warm and Mediterranean—it makes me think of a Garnacha—very much reminiscent of a Rayas, with notes of wild berries and aromatic herbs, truffles, forest floor and a twist of cherries in liqueur with the development and the complexity of an incipient bouquet. It has a lush and round palate, with some dusty tannins. This has a very different profile, extraordinary. This is from a very small plot of 0.25 hectares that only delivered one 500-liter barrel that filled a total of 593 bottles. It was bottled in October 2021.

Extremely delicate, almost colourless. The aromas are pretty open with an earthy character. Ash, smoke, mineral, balsamic touch, a distinctive and idiosyncratic nose. I find a connection to Jura wines. Unmistakably made from very delicate and old grapes. A truly genuine wine within the region.
