The wine

At sight it has a bright golden yellow color, of great thickness and consistency. The nose expresses wonderful olfactory sensations, of great intensity and very long persistence. Hints of candied citrus fruits, exotic fruits and elegant spicy and floral tertiary aromas dominate in breadth. The impact is remarkable to the taste. The great sapidity blends the candied, slightly caramelized and spicy perceptions of an intelligent use of barriques that enhances the essences of noble molds. Great softness, perfect balance, exceptional harmony of all components. No doubt and problem in the continuous evolution of this quintessence of Italian enology. Store it with care and intelligence in your cellar to discover, even in a decade, the impressive growth of this extraordinary and celebrated wine. Don't waste it on the pastries in the pastry shop. The Tordiruta has fabric and deserves greater attention: great blue cheeses (Gorgonzola, Roqueford, Blu Stilton, Fossa di Talamello), perhaps served with ripe Williams or Abate or Decane pears, fresh or even better cooked in a little of the same wine, water and a little sugar, with a brushstroke of chestnut honey, or loin of figs from the Marche region, or fruit mustard from Mantua. The heights of pleasure are reached with goose liver, duck breast and orange canard.
