They took it to a very informal family restaurant, had a burger, popped the cork, and 'it was really something'. He reckons these wines age long past 15 years. Lovely line of fine cigar aromatics. Ripe cherry and redcurrant fruit. Really delicious. Menthol coolth seems to slip through the silky tannins, embracing the fruit with a vivacious tango swirl. I cannot emphasise how silky these tannins are! Tastes like cold wind through pine trees through crushed dark cherries and sprinkled with pink peppercorns. There is easy cigar-dusted pleasure in this fruit-filled mouthful of wine.
