The wine

Montesodi was born with the vintage of 1974 and since then it is produced only in the best vintages with Sangiovese grapes grown in the homonymous vineyard located at 400 meters above sea level, an area that has always been considered the best of the estate for the cultivation of this noble grape. The result is an intense wine with great aromas and aristocratic long persistence.

Ruby red, with garnet reflections. It is intense, fresh, mineral, with hints of citrus, cherry blossom, violet. On the palate it is persistent, mineral, with a toasted and silky tannin. Notes of sour cherry in alcohol, hints of candied cedar and blood orange overlap with hints of coffee powder and fruity notes Excellent with short-cooked red meats, it marries beautifully with the Florentine steak.
