The wine

The grapes, with 50% of the stalks removed, undergo maceration in contact with the skins for 3 months, and fermentation and the subsequent ageing of nine months occur in qvevri. About 200 bottles are produced, depending on the year.

Showing off a lovely pink colour with amber glints. On the nose it reveals a very extensive aromatic array, which goes from honey and spices to rose petals and white fruit. On the palate it's dense and dry, with hints of dried fruit and nuts, wild herbs and apricot freshness in the background. It's intensely fresh and harmonious, but conceals a wild side that can only be discovered on uncorking a bottle.

NOTE: The Rkatsiteli is a very special variety, widely grown in Georgia, whose berries have a pink tinge.
