The wine

From the most representative black grape variety of the entire Sicilian wine panorama comes Plumbago, 100% Nero d'Avola from the vineyards of the Ulmo estate in Sambuca di Sicilia. Once in the glass it has an intense ruby red colour with some violet reflections. The bouquet is of fruits and flowers, even emanating balsamic notes. Prunes, red fruits, ripe mulberries, violets, aromatic herbs and cocoa, tobacco, leather and nutmeg stand out. In the mouth it is full of flavour, juicy and fruity; an agile, fresh wine, with good softness and a fine tannic texture, closing on a light almond note. Very pleasant, immediate and tasty. It adorns the table and enhances dishes of the first spring lunch outdoors, excellent with pasta alla Norma and grilled pork ribs.
