Poggio Antico Brunello di Montalcino Riserva
2015Spec sheet
The wine
The Riserva del Brunello Poggio Antico is produced only in the best years with an even more accurate selection. It is a wine of great structure and enhanced by a longer and more complex aging in French and Slavonian oak.
The aging process for our Riserva began with 1 year in French oak barrels, followed by 2 1/2 years in large Slavonian oak barrels. Incredibly powerful, bold, and complex, this brunello is bursting with bing and maraschino cherries, cassis, and just a hint of balsamic. This wine is enjoyable now, but can also be cellared for some time to come. Perfect with steak Fiorentina or quiet contemplation.
