Prunotto Barbaresco

The Prunotto winery has spent more than a century operating in the Langhe region, although it wasn't until 1989 that it started to form part of the Antinori group. This noble family succumbed to the charms of this area of land and, aware of its potential, brought the Prunotto winery into its possession, maintaining the century-old tradition and quality of its extensive range of wines — which include great names of the Langhe denomination — whilst contributing all the modernity of its business structure.

From land rich in fossils and minerals comes this Barbaresco which figures amongst the denomination's most well-balanced. Undoubtedly a full-bodied wine of great complexity.

Aged for a year in oak barrels, the wine has assumed a deep garnet colour and perfect consistency. With a production process that takes care of every last detail, the Prunotto Barbaresco successfully combines class, personality and balance with an extraordinary elegance.

On the nose, its highlights are the smooth and fresh, fruity notes of cherries in liquor, along with other evocative, dark notes of tobacco and coffee. On the palate, the silkiness and fineness of the tannins present confirm a most pleasant drink, as suggested already by its aromas.
