Quintarelli Amarone Classico Riserva

Quintarelli's Amarone Riserva is ... Amarone. A red of extraordinary structure and complexity: a full-bodied, complex wine, son of the excellence of tradition. It has a very deep pomegranate red color. The nose gives an intense aroma, a sensual range of scents in continuous evolution: bitter almond, cherry, plum, red berries, then withered flowers, spices, fine herbs and tea leaves; then again truffles and chocolate.

In the mouth it is powerful, warm, harmonious, long lasting, spicy, with hints of tobacco and tar. As a textbook of the true historical Amarone, it has a residual sugar content that derives from the drying of the Veronese Corvina grapes and which gives an unmistakable softness, from pure meditation. However, it is perfect to combine with red meats and stews. Traditional aging, in large barrels, very long in the cellar and then ... in the bottle!
