Spec sheet
The wine
A document of 1340 reports the chronicle of a dispute before the royal court over the possession of a particularly coveted fiefdom "Casalj Rabitallavi". This was the ancient name of Tenuta Rapitalà, 175 hectares in the Camporeale area, which extends from an altitude of 300 to 600 meters above sea level. The top of the mountain that dominates the estate spans the vineyards of Catarratto from which Casalj is born.
Accurate vinification techniques and aging in oak barrels give this wine ample olfactory sensations with evident references to Mediterranean aromas (sage, tomato leaf, caper flower). With a light gold color and a fresh and mineral taste, it has a round and satisfying body like the sun of these lands where the catarratto expresses unique characteristics, unrepeatable elsewhere. Perfect in combination with tasty fish and shellfish, fish soup, also spiced, hot and cold white meats.
