The winery
Bodegas Tridente
A small winery making great wines, located at Villanueva de Campeán, some 30 km to the south of Zamora, in the midst of ‘Tierra del Vino’ (Land of the Wine) country. The predominant variety used is Tinta de Toro, also known as Tempranillo. With this local indigenous variety they combine Prieto Picudo and Mencía, originating from vineyards that are fairly old and low-yielding in Bierzo and León.
