The wine
Mature, spicy, well-balanced… Rhodes is a fine Empordà wine, a blend of Cariñena (Samsó), in the main, and Syrah, with a slight bitter touch on the finish. Good wine.
The name of the wine is inspired by the nearby town of Roses (Rhodes in Greek) and the rose appearing on the label was the town symbol used on the ancient colony’s drachmas.
Aged for 12 months in medium toast, new and semi-new, French Allier oak barrels.
