The wine

Thanks to the tireless work done by four generations, the Paolo Saracco winery, founded by his great grandfather Luigi in 1900, has become quite a reference point for Moscato lovers in search of a quality product impeccably made. The sweet wines which the winery produces, the Moscato d'Asti and the Moscato d'Autunno, figure on the wine lists of the world's most prestigious restaurants. The winery owns 46 hectares in Castigione Tinella (one of Italy's most popular vineyards); boasting lands with an excellent exposure and vines that have been cultivated over several decades.

Everything in the vineyard and the cellar is aimed at making an excellent white Muscat, the sweet Piedmontese bubbly for which Saracco is the world ambassador. The Saracco style is definitely rich and explosive. But the Moscato d'Autunno, a selection from the company's best vineyards, expresses an incredibly and complexly multifaceted. This is one of those Moscato d'Asti wines that is ideal to convince those people who still turn up their noses at the idea that this type of wine can express class, personality, verticality and minerality. And, if you wish, also longevity.

Immediately and elegantly aromatic, Moscato d'Autunno expresses exciting scents of peach, wild flowers, sage and lemon balm, with citrus and buttery notes. The olfactory texture is mineral, ferrous, inviting, and conjures up all the freshness of the vineyards which go up to an altitude of up to 500 metres. The taste is dynamic, typical, energetic but extraordinarily fine and chiselled. A vertical Muscat, sapid, sharp and never sickly sweet, which stands out for its very long fruity and balsamic persistence. Unbeatable with dry pastries, Chantilly cream cakes, sweet focaccia and semifreddoes. A must for a sweet, refined and classy aperitif.
