The wine
The Stallmann-Hiestand Geierscheiss is a perfect gateway for getting introduced to the world of sweet German wines. A Spätlese, it's made from Riesling grapes harvested slightly late. On its floral and tropical nose, hints of very ripe white currants mingle with the aromas of green pineapple and passionfruit. On the palate, it reveals a pleasant density, coming through as extremely luscious. It gives a wonderful feeling in the mouth, with subtle sweet sensations counterbalanced by crisp citrus touches and bitter suggestions. Having a fresh, long and very rounded finish.
