The wine
Adrien is the name of both the wine producers' son and one of the parcels of Syrah vines used for this, their top wine. Lying next to a natural lake, the small parcel lies on granite soil formed by sand and decomposed rock.
A very dark red colour with violet hues, it has a complex and elegant nose, releasing aromas of truffles and vanilla, along with liquorice notes. Offering plenty of body, the palate exhibits toasty notes, ripe red fruit and liquorice hints, as well as mature tannins.
Malolactic fermentation in new French oak.
Aged for 24 months in new French oak barrels and 6 months spent in bottle.
