The wine
Piccolo Derthona is a white wine made from 100% Timorasso grapes, a recently rediscovered native vine of the Tortona area. At sight it has a straw yellow color with golden reflections. Fresh notes of mandarin and lemon stand out on the nose, with delicate hints of aromatic herbs on a savory base. At the sip it reveals freshness, softness and strong minerality. In its youthful guise, Timorasso can be paired with land or sea risotto, even with shellfish, with white meat main courses. The typical combination is with medium-aged Montebore cheese.
