The wine
Viña Arana came out in 1974, taking the name of the then vice-president, Don José María de Arana y Aizpurua. At a more affordable price and the most modest of the company's Reservas, Viña Arana is distinguished by its elegant acidity and the smoothness of its tannins. A Tempranillo and Mazuelo blend and aged for three years in American oak, it's an aromatic wine, with notes of crystallised fruit, wild strawberries and blueberries, balsamic touches and hints of fine wood.
