A good example of a crianza tempranillo

This wine is well-rounded and integrated, with fruit, oak and balsamic notes all evident in the mid-palate. On the nose it is a typical Tempranillo; in fact, to me, it smells more like a Rioja than a Ribera. The only negative is the finish; this is not a long wine. It will probably improve, developing secondary flavours with a few more years in bottle. Penin gives this wine 91 points; I'd broadly agree, but say that, at the moment, 89 is about right.

A real surprise

This wine was a real and unexpected surprise. A smooth and velvety wine With layers of fruit that left me wanting to share it with friends and family.
