The wine

Vinosìa is the creature of Luciano Ercolino, in Irpinia, and represents the philosophy and passion of a man who has made the emotionality of wine and respect for the territory his reason for living. Together with the architect Alessandro di Blasi, he has given the winery a unique character. With Ercolino’s expertise on the one hand and the awareness for functional and tasteful architecture on the other, the duo has stylistically accomplished a masterpiece.

The winery, as we said, in in Irpinia, cultivating some of the best crus of the Taurasi and tries its hand, as is natural, in Fiano di Avellino and Greco, but it has found in Puglia, or rather in Salento in the Manduria countryside, a new perfect habitat to experiment with different grape varieties and wines.

The Orus Primitivo di Manduria is one of them, and certainly represents the most typical product of the Salento territory. As per the textbook, what we have is a wine with a great extraction density, enveloping and muscular. It has a ruby red colour with black reflections; fruity notes of black cherries and blackberries intertwine with hints of liquorice, creating a fragrant and delicate aromatic bouquet. On the palate it is intriguing, velvety and concentrated, with a wonderfully harmonious and extremely refined finish. Excellent throughout the meal, it pairs perfectly with game dishes; it is also extraordinary with ragù pasta dishes and mature cheeses.

Vinosìa

The search for emotional wines and total respect for the environment are combined in Luciano Ercolino's wine project and his beautiful Avellino winery in Paternopoli. Irpinia, which is the best performaing wine region in Campania year after year, hosts Vinosìa, a winery partially excavated in the hill on which it is perched, with its focus on low environmental impact and energy saving. The protection of historic vineyards in the area is another of the winery's vocations. In...
