Zenato Valpolicella Superiore Ripasso Ripassa

An absolute stunner!!!

Soft, juicy, sophisticated and luscious! Wild strawberry, earth, mushroom on the palate, medium body, fresh, wow! Loved this with steak and Mediterranean veg, have to get more of this! Fantastic, worth every penny, you won't be disappointed, let it breathe for a couple of hours, improves greatly!

Bold and yet soft ripasso

On the scent there are raisins, plums and a hint of tobacco followed by a taste of cherries and smooth tannins that are quite medium, I think, and this is also surprisingly low on the acidity. Nice long finish seals the deal. Try pairing with beef or even roasted game and of course hard cheeses.

Top drawer Ripasso. Wonderful depth to the palette, fruit driven with sour cherry and raspberry to the fore and developing further with coffee/licorice with more time in the glass. Silky smooth texture and very moreish. Yummy

The best wine I ever tasted

This wine is the nectar of the gods, it is full bodied without being over powering. Subtle hints of dark fruits and tobacco mark this as a very, very beautifully rounded wine, you will not be disappointed.

Spectacular

I have drunk Zenata Ripassa in so many countries in the world - the USA, Ireland, Italy (!) - and whenever I have seen it on the wine list. BUT have never seen it in the UK
