Alberto Longo

Alberto Longo's winery was founded in 1968 in Lechera, in the north of Puglia. Adele and Giovanni Longo and their son Alberto have shared a passion for producing quality wines since the company was founded.

Today the Longo family owns 35 hectares of vineyards and with the help of oenologist Graziana Grassini (a pupil of Giacomo Tacis) can combine the latest winemaking technology with traditional vineyard management.

Alberto Longo grows local grape varieties such as Montepulciano, Bombino Bianco and Nero di Troia or Falangina. He is one of the main producers of the almost forgotten appellation Cacc'e Mmitte di Lucera, which was introduced and recognised in 1976 as one of the first DOCs of Puglia.
