Celler Balaguer i Cabré

Celler Balaguer i Cabré combines the wine-making tradition of two families which have been involved in vine cultivation and wine production in the Priorat region over the lifetimes of more than three generations. The bodega is located nowadays in the oldest part of Gratallops, in a restored building which boasts a wine-making room, an ageing room (the former cellar of this renovated old house) and a tasting room with magnificent views looking out towards the vineyards and surrounding area. Celler Balaguer i Cabré owns 4 ha of vineyards, mainly planted with the native Garnacha grape variety, covering the La Guinardera and the Mas de Dalt estates, from which they presently bottle just one wine: La Guinardera, a single varietal Garnacha. The soil type of both estates is llicorella slate.
