This has resulted in wines which interpret the Langhe region with great respect, a modern approach and open to experimentation, and undoubtedly among Italy's most innovative in outlook.

Originating from the best Barolo crus, the Elio Altare winery presents us with elegant and rounded wines, resulting from a judicious and balanced use of oak. This careful ageing in barrel forms part of a manufacturing process in which the winery's mastery becomes evident and gives rise to its excellent Barolo wines. In addition, the organic management of the vineyards, the sole use of native yeasts, minimal amounts of sulphur and the rejection of filtering of any sort have become the house's trademarks and made a forerunner such as Elio Altare a true master to follow.
