Fattoria San Lorenzo
The running of the winery has been handed down from father to son for several generations. Enrico Crognaletti, grandfather of the current owner, Natalino, in addition to making good Verdicchio wine was also a good cooper: he selected the oaks and built the barrels that he needed to make his wine.
Gino, Natalino’s father, was a talented winemaker, who spent almost all his life in selecting old Verdicchio clones (in the old vineyards called "tree-lined"). His choice of bunches with very sparse grapes and particularly rich in minerals today gives its best fruit in the Vigna delle Oche, the great Riserva di Verdicchio DOCG: sharp, savoury, minerally, of masterly execution and territoriality.
Don’t miss the dynamic grip of ... di Gino..., a basic Verdicchio that amazes with its authenticity and frankness, as is priceless the satisfaction of a sip of Le Oche, Verdicchio Classico with balanced minerallity and pleasant freshness. It Excellent in its structure, class and... I dare say San Lorenzo Bianco: a real pinnacle for the type of the Marche.
The cultivation is organic and biodynamic, and the management of the winery is of a family nature. All the countryside operations are still done by hand to preserve the vineyards and the territory. The winery works as grandfather Enrico worked: observing nature, the stars and everything that surrounds the farm.
