Finca Museum Viñedos y Bodegas

Finca Museum was the first winery set up by the winemaking group Barón de Ley outside of its home territory of La Rioja. Committed to expanding into new wine regions offering a good relationship between quality and price, the group decided to open a new winery in Cigales first, starting out with a unique and spectacular vineyard where 100-year-old vines thrive in pebble-covered soils to produce perfectly ripe fruit. Successfully expanding, the winery now owns 185 hectares of vines and controls a further 60 hectares.

Although DO Cigales enjoys a good reputation for rosé wines, its excellent possibilities for producing great red wines have not won the same recognition or popularity. Finca Museum have put this right, especially with their Museum Reserva, an intense and elegant red wine combining a wise ageing process with the maximum fruity expressiveness of Tempranillo grapes. A fantastic and intensely mineral red wine which is sure to convince anyone who tries it. 

The winery's collection also includes Vinea Crianza, a red wine offering great value for money and very popular as you can see from our clients' comments. Following the tradition for rosés in Cigales, Vinea Rosado, is a bright, intense and fruity rosé wine – and also very affordable. Las Musas, a fresh and intense rosé with added fruit complexity gained by time spent ageing over its lees, and La Renacida, a red wine produced using the old method of mixing both white and red varieties which grow together in a unique century-old vineyard, are two other splendid wines in the Finca Museum range.
