Jean-Pierre Moueix

Jean-Pierre Moueix established the company Établissements Jean-Pierre Moueix in 1937, devoted to the marketing of wines. Some years later, he began purchasing vineyards and increased his portfolio with the acquisition, control or exclusive representation of such legendary and renowned Châteaux as Petrus, La Fleur-Pétrus, Lafleur-Gazin, Latour à Pomerol, La Grave à Pomerol, Providence, Trotanoy, Hosanna and Bourgneuf, in Pomerol; plus Magdelaine, Fonplégade, La Serre, Le Prieuré, Pindefleurs and Bélair Monange, in Saint-Émilion.

Under the direction of his son Christian Moeuix, the group acquired the historic Californian vineyard Dominus State, where Dominus and Napanook are made, two magnificent Napa Valley wines inspired by the classic Bordeauxs.

Établissements Jean-Pierre Moueix only markets wines from the sub-regions which are located on the right bank of the Dordogne river, the most northerly of the region, in the vicinity of the town of Libourne, with Pomerol and Saint-Émilion being the foremost; a specialisation which demonstrates the experience and expert knowledge that this great family possesses of the area and of the wine produced there.
