From the vineyards of Merano, in the far north of Alto Adige, comes a Sauvignon that has been awarded the best revelation in the world for this variety in 2020 at the Concours Mondial du Sauvignon held annually in Touraine. It’s given to us by the small and innovative Plonerhof winery, oriented towards biological and the heroic viticulture in the northernmost part of Alto Adige, towards Austria. An alpine climate but protected, actually, kissed by the warm southern winds, and fascinating, intriguing, impeccable wines.
