San Cobate

San Cobate is a young winery created in 2016 by Antonio Vázquez Muñoz-Calero, although the Benedictine monks built the monastery of San Cucufate near the estate in the mid-11th century, where they planted the first grapevines on this privileged land. In the 11th century, the current vineyards were the monastery's cultivation lands.

In order to ensure that the expression of each plot materialises in a wine, they have classified the estate into four very well differentiated plots, they have created terraces in the style of the Portuguese ‘Douro’, and they only make wine in a traditional and unhurried way.
